What We Offer
Three Services, One Consistent Approach
Whether your question involves children, agreements, or resolving disagreements, Sri Kasih offers a service shaped around your actual circumstances — not a template process.
Back to HomeOur Methodology
How We Work Across Every Service
Each service at Sri Kasih follows the same foundational approach — even as the specifics differ between custody, mediation, and marital agreements.
Listen First
Every engagement begins with us listening — properly, without interruption. We build a picture of your situation before we offer any direction.
Assess Clearly
We assess your circumstances against the relevant legal framework and identify the realistic options available — stated plainly, not obscured in legal language.
Guide Carefully
We recommend a path and explain the reasoning behind it. If you want to consider alternatives, we work through those with you. Nothing is imposed.
Support Throughout
We stay with you through the process. Questions are welcome at any stage, and we provide updates so you are never left wondering what is happening.
Service 01
Child Custody & Guardianship Support
Custody and guardianship arrangements involve some of the most significant decisions a family can face. Sri Kasih provides kind, careful guidance through these questions, keeping the children's wellbeing at the centre of every recommendation. We explain the available options plainly and support you at a pace that feels manageable.
Our approach is grounded in the Law Reform (Marriage and Divorce) Act 1976 and the Guardianship of Infants Act 1961. We help parents understand how Malaysian courts approach custody and access, what factors carry weight in assessments, and how agreed arrangements can be formalised without unnecessary conflict.
What is included
- Initial consultation to understand your situation and goals
- Plain-language overview of custody and access options under Malaysian law
- Support with negotiations and communication between parties where possible
- Assistance with court filings if proceedings are necessary
- Written summary of key points after each consultation
How it progresses
Initial consultation — we listen and ask questions about your circumstances and the children involved.
Assessment — we explain the legal landscape and your realistic options, without pressure.
Strategy — we agree on an approach together, whether that involves negotiation, mediation, or court proceedings.
Formalisation — we prepare and review any documents or filings required, explaining each step.
Service 02
Family Mediation Assistance
When family disagreements arise, mediation can offer a path forward that avoids the time, cost, and emotional strain of formal court proceedings. Sri Kasih provides a calm, balanced environment where both parties can be heard and explore options together — with a neutral, accredited mediator guiding the process.
Our mediators hold accreditation from the Malaysian Mediation Centre (MMC) and are experienced in family matters. We do not take sides. Our role is to help both parties communicate more productively and identify arrangements that each can accept.
What is included
- Pre-mediation consultation with each party separately (if preferred)
- Structured joint mediation sessions with an MMC-accredited mediator
- Facilitation of open, respectful discussion between parties
- Drafting of a memorandum of understanding if agreement is reached
- Guidance on formalising the outcome legally where required
How it progresses
Intake — each party meets with us separately to outline their situation and concerns.
Joint session — both parties meet with the mediator. Ground rules are established and discussion begins.
Exploration — options are identified, discussed, and refined at a pace both parties can manage.
Resolution — if agreement is reached, a memorandum of understanding is prepared and signed.
Service 03
Marital Agreement Advisory
Marital and financial agreements — including prenuptial arrangements, cohabitation agreements, and separation documents — carry significant long-term implications. Sri Kasih provides thoughtful help in understanding and preparing these documents, with each clause explained clearly before any signature is requested.
We never rush this process. If you need time to reflect, seek a second opinion, or ask further questions, we accommodate that. Our goal is that you understand and genuinely agree with what you are signing — not merely that the document gets completed.
What is included
- Initial consultation to understand your situation and what the agreement needs to cover
- Plain-language review of any existing draft agreement
- Preparation or amendment of the agreement document
- Clause-by-clause walkthrough before signing
- Advice on the legal effect and limitations of the agreement under Malaysian law
How it progresses
Consultation — we understand your needs and what you want the agreement to address.
Drafting — we prepare the document, or review an existing one, with your circumstances in mind.
Review — we walk through the draft together, clause by clause, until you are comfortable.
Finalisation — the agreement is signed with both parties properly advised on its scope and effect.
